AHRMP Saint Lucia to Commemorate International HR Day 2026 Recognizing the Strategic Role of HR in Empowering People and Leading Change
May 20, 2026
The Association of Human Resource Management Professionals (Saint Lucia) Ltd. (AHRMP) joins the global HR community in commemorating International HR Day 2026, recognizing the critical role Human Resource professionals continue to play in strengthening organizations, developing people and leading workplace transformation.
Observed annually around the world, International HR Day celebrates the contribution of HR professionals across industries and acknowledges the growing importance of the profession in shaping productive, resilient and people-centred workplaces.
This year’s global theme, “Empower People to Lead Change,” highlights the responsibility of organizations and leaders to create environments where people are equipped, supported, and inspired to drive meaningful change. As workplaces continue to evolve, the theme reinforces the importance of adaptability, inclusive leadership, employee empowerment, and intentional people practices in navigating increasingly complex business realities.
In recognition of this international observance, AHRMP will host a special virtual webinar under the local discussion theme: “Empowering People to Lead Change: The HR Imperative in Today’s Workplace.”
The webinar will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will bring together HR professionals, business leaders, organizational development practitioners, and emerging professionals for an engaging discussion on leadership, workplace transformation, and the evolving role of HR within modern organizations. The discussion will reflect the breadth, diversity, and strategic value of the HR profession today.
AHRMP notes that International HR Day presents an important opportunity not only to celebrate HR professionals, but also to elevate national conversations around leadership, organizational culture, workforce readiness, and sustainable workplace practices.
“In today’s environment, organizations cannot successfully navigate change, build resilience, or sustain growth without placing people at the centre of their strategy. HR is no longer operating at the sidelines of business decision-making, it is increasingly at the core of how organizations adapt, lead, and remain future-ready,” stated Ms. Goretti Paul, President of the Association of Human Resource Management Professionals (Saint Lucia) Ltd.
AHRMP encourages HR professionals, managers, business leaders, students, and members of the wider professional community to participate in this webinar and contribute to the ongoing conversation on leadership, people and the future of work.
